How To Get The Perfect Wedding Skin: Blog Post 1.

Wedding Skin

Wedding Skin.

02-06-17.

So, not many of you know this, but one of the biggest days of my life are coming up in a few months! The day that all girls dream of when they are little…

My wedding day!

When I think of my wedding day, one of my biggest desires is to be a naturally, glowing bride. I have noticed that a lot of women do not know when or how to make their skin great for their wedding day. That is why I have decided to do a Wedding Skin Blog Series.

Together with Nimue, we here at Adara Beauty Clinic will guide you through the six months leading up to your big day! I am so excited to share this journey with you, as I know first-hand how important this day really is.

So, today will be the first blog entry in the six months Wedding Skin Series, which will be posted on the Adara Beauty Clinic Blog every Friday, for the next five weeks.

I know that planning a wedding can be so stressful and time-consuming (once again I have first-hand experience), however you need time to relax and take care of yourself properly… Remember unnecessary stress can also cause break-outs, which I can promise you, will not make your wedding journey any smoother!

In this blog post I want to go over skin regimes that you should’ve been doing most of your life. If not, YOU SHOULD START IMMEDIATELY, as this will not only affect your wedding skin but it will affect your skin for the rest of your life (because we all do age eventually).

Six Months Before Your Big Day.

By this time before your wedding you will probably already be on a good home skincare regime. You should continue on it as your skin is already use to this treatment. However, as your big day creeps closer, you should add some more intensive skincare treatments to this home care regime. The next few months are going to determine if you glow on your wedding day!

All the time I have been in the beauty industry I have been helping brides to get ready for their perfect day. Now FINALLY it’s my turn (and probably also yours) to go through all the extraordinary experiences and this far it has been an amazing journey.

Most of the information I will be sharing in this series will be based on what I am and will be doing in the months leading up to my wedding day. I know many people think that because I am a beauty therapist, I should have great skin all the time… but you can always improve your skins appearance!

These are the steps you should already be taking if you want to achieve glowing wedding skin:

Keep in mind that I am using the products in the Nimue International Skin Care range, but you can do this with all facial products (however I obviously recommend Nimue).

  • Cleansing your skin in the morning and in the evening. ALWAYS!
  • NEVER SLEEP WITH MAKE UP! Especially eye make-up. For this you can use the Nimue Eye Make Up Remover.
  • Conditioning (or toning if you are not on the Nimue range) your skin after cleansing.
  • Day preparation (Nimue day or Nimue Multi day +)
  • Night preparation (Moisturizer plus/multi night + or purifier)
  • Apply the necessary serums that can help your skin journey (for instance I use the Nimue Corrective Serum)
  • Exfoliate with and exfoliating enzyme twice a week. DO NOT USE AN ABBRASIVE EXFOLIATOR, to find out why, read this blog post!
  • Treat yourself to a face mask once a week (There are so many masks to choose from in the Nimue range, however I LOVE the Nimue Anti-aging leave-on-mask).
  • Last but not least it is very important to wear a SPF 40 to protect your skin form the environmental factors.

Need to know:

In this series I will only be discussing Problematic and Environmentally damaged skin types. Keep in mind, if you do struggle with pigmentation, six months will not be enough to treat you skin type effectively. Treatment for pigmentation should start at least one year before the big day, for effective results.

Treating pigmentation can be a long process where your pigmentation can look worse before it becomes better. However, if your main concern is pigmentation feel free to leave me a comment, and I will assist you the best I can. If you are in the vicinity of Adara Beauty Clinic you can contact me via email or the Adara Facebook page. At Adara we will be able to work on a treatment program that will be specifically for your skin.

This series will also discuss what you can do for the overall health of your body. Be sure to keep an eye out for the next Wedding Skin Blog Post!

I hope that through this series of blog posts, I can at least help one bride to achieve naturally, glowing wedding skin. I want all brides to be happy and confident on their big day. It’s so important to feel good about yourself when walking down the isle towards your future!

Remember to always LOVE THE SKIN YOU’RE IN!
